At a glance

EQ Studio is developed by Dmytro Kolyvai in Poland, European Union. For privacy questions, contact [email protected].

The app processes audio and video files locally. We do not collect or transmit your media, filenames, file paths, custom preset names, or the contents of your files.

We do not use the app’s data for advertising or cross-app tracking.

Anonymous analytics

EQ Studio uses TelemetryDeck for privacy-focused product analytics. Analytics are enabled by default, and you can turn them off at any time in Information → Share anonymous usage analytics. Turning them off stops future analytics signals from the app.

When enabled, TelemetryDeck receives an anonymized per-install identifier, an hour-rounded timestamp, broad app and device information, and low-cardinality feature and reliability events such as an import or export result, supported file type, processing option, or broad performance or error category. The app does not send media, filenames, paths, feedback text, email addresses, raw error messages, or custom preset names to TelemetryDeck.

TelemetryDeck processes these signals under its privacy policy. We use the data to understand feature use and reliability, not for advertising or cross-app tracking.

Feedback you choose to send

The in-app Suggest an idea form sends data only after you press Send. It sends your message, selected category, app version, macOS version, and an optional email address to EQ Studio support. This feedback is separate from analytics and is not sent to TelemetryDeck.

We use feedback to respond when you ask us to, investigate issues, and improve EQ Studio. Please avoid including sensitive or unnecessary personal information.

Website analytics

eqstudio.app uses TelemetryDeck’s cookieless Web SDK for basic website measurements, including page paths, referrers, broad browser and device information, and country or region. We also measure clicks that open EQ Studio in the Mac App Store. A click includes the button location, current and first page in the browser session, a broad source category, the referring hostname, and sanitized campaign tags already present in the page URL.

The Web SDK does not set analytics cookies. TelemetryDeck describes how its web analytics create a daily, non-personal hashed identifier in its privacy policy. App Store click events use a separate random identifier that is hashed in the browser and lasts only for the current browser-tab session.

We use these measurements to understand whether people find the site, which pages are useful, and which sources lead people to the App Store. We do not use website analytics for advertising, profiling, or cross-app tracking.

Data stored on your Mac

EQ Studio stores its preferences and custom presets locally in macOS app storage. Temporary processing files are removed after export; they exist only to complete the export process. You can remove local app data by deleting the app and its associated data through macOS.

Your choices and rights

You can disable analytics in the app at any time. To request access to or deletion of feedback you submitted, email us from the address used in the submission, where possible, so we can identify the record.

You can disable website analytics in this browser. This stores only that preference locally and stops future website analytics. You can enable website analytics again at any time.

If you are in the EEA, UK, or another jurisdiction with similar rights, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of personal data, and to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. We will handle requests under applicable law.

Retention and sharing

Feedback is stored until manually deleted. We do not sell personal data. We share app and website analytics only with TelemetryDeck, and feedback only with the services needed to receive and manage the message. Apple separately handles App Store distribution under its privacy policy.
