What We DON'T Collect

Anonymous Usage Statistics (Aptabase)

To help us understand how EQ Studio is used and to improve the app, we collect anonymous usage statistics using Aptabase, a privacy-first, open-source analytics platform. This data is completely anonymous and cannot be used to identify you personally. We collect:

  • App launches: To differentiate between first-time and returning users.
  • Feature usage: Such as video opening, video exporting, preset selection (built-in vs. custom), EQ adjustments, and mute/bypass toggles.
  • Error reports: Anonymous error types to help us identify and fix bugs.
  • Device and system information: Operating system version, app version, and device type (e.g., "MacBook Pro").

We do NOT collect any personal data, IP addresses, or any information that could identify your files or content. All data is aggregated and used solely for product improvement.

Apple's Default Analytics

Like all Mac App Store applications, EQ Studio may share anonymous usage statistics with Apple through their default analytics system. This includes:

EQ Studio stores the following data locally on your Mac:

  • Temporary processing files - Automatically deleted after export

This local data never leaves your Mac and is deleted when you uninstall the app.
